The staff at Bold Theatrics is shocked and appalled to learn that an actor that appeared in one of our productions has been charged with a hate crime. The alleged crime occurred over Hanukkah, in the wake of the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in The United States.
Acts of Nazism, anti-Semitism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other forms of discrimination and hate, do not reflect the values of Bold Theatrics, or the Oneonta community. Furthermore, we are deeply saddened that we have reached a point in our country where it is necessary to actually have to denounce bigotry and hatred.
Now more than ever it is imperative that we focus on our mission: producing thought-provoking theatre that fosters awareness and perpetuates dialogue on the importance of equality and acceptance for every human being, regardless of their race, country of origin, sex, gender, religion or sexuality.
