Dalilah Synan (Matilda) is an eleven year old fifth grader at Delaware Academy. She has been in love with everything theater since landing her first role as Molly in Orpheus Theatre's production of Annie. Other roles with Orpheus include Toto in The Wizard of Oz, a Lioness in Disney's The Lion King Jr., Sher Khan in The Jungle Book Jr. and is currently working on Disney's Aladdin Jr. with the StarStuck Players. She also played a duckling/froglet in SUNY Oneonta's production of Honk! Dalilah would like to thank Bold Theatrics for the opportunity to take on the lead in her first show with them. She is dedicating this performance to her Grammy, who introduced her to the magical story of Matilda.
Benjamin Burke (Miss Agatha Trunchbull) Theatrical credits include: directing and scenic design on productions of Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches, Angels in America Part Two: Perestroika, Heathers the Musical, Spring Awakening, Steel Magnolias, Next to Normal, Grease!, 13 the Musical, Gypsy, Hair: The American Tribal, Love-Rock Musical, Shrek the Musical, The Rocky Horror Show, Company, 4.48 Psychosis and The Wibbly, Wobbly, Wiggly Dance that Cleopatterer Did. Acting credits include: Annie (Rooster Hannigan), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas Iscariot), Grease! (Roger), Disney's The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), Willy Wonka the Musical (Willy Wonka), The Laramie Project (Dennis Shepard & Others), Into the Woods (Jack), Cats (Munkustrap), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Snoopy), Hairspray (Corny Collins), Cabaret (The Emcee), Rent (Mark Cohen), Babes in Arms (Valentine White). He earns his living at Springbrook as a direct service provider for adults with developmental disabilities and is the co-founder of Bold Theatrics LLC. Benjamin studied Theatre Arts at Hartwick College and is a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Michaela Pawluk (Miss Honey) is thrilled to be returning to the stage in her debut with BOLD Theatrics’ production of Matilda; performing the role of Miss Honey. Previous credits include Emma in Jeckyll and Hyde, Fantine in Les Miserables, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Mayzie La Bird in Seussical. Outside of the theater, Michaela teaches second grade at The Delaware Academy CSD and is currently pursing her Master’s degree in Literacy Education at SUNY Oneonta. She is also a black belt in Shalolin-Kempo and enjoys photography. Michaela would like to thank Brooke, Tim, Drue & Ben for their hard work and dedication in creating this wonderful show! Her performances are dedicated to her family & friends.
Matt Jahnke (Mr. Wormwood) is thrilled to be appearing in his first Bold Theatrics production, shedding his barn boots to verbally abuse adorable children. He has appeared in a number of local theater productions, from a Baker to Bobby in Sondheim, Riff Raff in a Rocky Horror, a murderous judge in an Agatha Christie, to a jackass in Shrek. Matt would like to thank the cast and crew, and most of all his wife, Jenny, for putting up with another show. He dedicates this performance to his son Noah and all his successes in spite of Matt's best parental guidance.
Amanda Blake (Mrs. Wormwood) is thrilled to be back in the Oneonta theatre scene in her first production with Bold Theatrics! Her previous roles in Oneonta include Hair (Dionne), Cinderella (Portia), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Into the Woods (Little Red), You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally), and many others. Amanda graduated from Nazareth College in 2016 where she played roles including The Secret Garden (Martha), Chicago (Moana), and Titanic the Musical (Alice). She thanks her friends and family for their constant love and support!!
Maddex Synan (Bruce Bogtrotter) is an eight year old second grader at Delaware Academy. He discovered his love for theater last year when his teacher Michaela Pawluk (our Miss Honey) gave him the lead of Tiger Shark in Go Fish, their class play. He went on to play the Baby Elephant in The Jungle Book JR over the summer with Orpheus Theatre and is currently a StarStruck player in their up coming production of Disney's Aladdin JR. Maddex is excited to be taking the stage with his teacher, family and friends. He would like to thank Bold Theatrics for the opportunity to play such a large role.
Annabel Wu (Lavender) is a 6th grader at Milford Central School. She has previously appeared in Children’s Stories (Woodcutter’s Wife), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. (Narrator), Disney’s The Jungle Book JR. (Colonel Haiti), The Addams Family (Ancestor) and Disney’s The Lion King JR. (Hyena). Annabel would like to thank her mom and grandparents for encouraging her to take on a role in Matilda the Musical. She would also like to thank her friends for helping her with songs, and wishes for everyone to enjoy the show!
Andrew Bowen (Michael Wormwood) was last seen on the Oneonta stage as Hipster Dork in Heathers the Musical. He is ecstatic to be performing in Matilda The Musical. Andrew's previous theatrical credits include: Spring Awakening (Moritz), 13 the Musical (Archie), Shrek The Musical (Little Pig), Into the Woods JR (The Baker), and Shrek The Musical JR (Shrek). He has also been lighting assistant on numerous productions. Andrew is happy to be working with Bold Theatrics once again and hopes to work onstage and off for upcoming shows with the company.
Casey Thomas (Rudolpho) is glad to perform in Bold Theatrics’ production of Matilda the Musical. Credits include Bill in Mamma Mia, Smokey in Damn Yankees, Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol: The Musical, Capt. Philip Lombard in And Then There Were None, Joe Pitt in Angels in America, Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks in Annie: The Musical, Matt in The Fantasticks, Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine in Next to Normal, Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Berger in Hair, Lord Farquaad in Shrek: The Musical, Skimbleshanks in Cats, Brad in The Rocky Horror Show, and Warner in Legally Blonde. In addition to Bold Theatrics, Casey has appeared with Orpheus Theatre, Bigger Boat Productions, Stuff of Dreams Productions, Tri-Town Theatre, and Catskill Community Players. He was also a member of The Colgate Thirteen, one of the oldest and renowned collegiate a cappella groups in the country, and currently sings with Eight is Eneuf (aka Enough Already!), a local a cappella group. Casey lives in Oneonta.
Diane Stammel (Mrs. Phelps) has enjoyed telling stories from the stage with several theater groups since 1977. For the past three summers, she has performed at the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown: Box and Cox (Mrs. Bouncer), A Case for Eviction (Dora), and characters in the women’s rights vignettes. This season she will be in Express! (the Lady). She also appeared in last year’s A Christmas Carol. Some other recent roles are: Steel Magnolias (M’Lynn), Duets-The Blind Date (Wendy), Almost, Maine (Hope), The Hallelujah Girls (Nita), The Red Velvet Cake War (Jimmie Wyvette), Lafferty’s Wake (Kathleen), Passengers (the Bag Lady), and Off the Hook (Jessie). As one who loves reading and libraries and is grandmother of two who enjoy Roald Dahl’s stories, Diane is pleased to have the opportunity to be Mrs. Phelps for Bold Theatrics.
Tom Pondolfino (Sergei/Children's Entertainer) is a retired Navy Gunner's Mate and a native of Oneonta. He is thrilled to be back with Bold Theatrics. Recent past roles include the ghost of Christmas Present in Orpheus Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol, The Cowardly Lion in Orpheus Theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz, as well as Bill Sweeney, Big Bud Dean, and Principal Gowan in Bold Theatrics production of Heathers.
Sean Sansevere (Escapologist/Doctor): Recent community theatre credits include Pepper in Mamma Mia, Prior Walter in Angels in America, Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol, Bert Healy in Annie, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and Doody in Grease. College highlights include Princeton in Avenue Q, and Horst in BENT. Growing up as an Orpheus teen and now a resident arts townie, Sean works full time as Asst. Box Office Manager for The Glimmerglass Festival. He began doing Orpheus Workshops at the age of 11, and performed in main stage shows throughout high school. He has degrees in Theatre, and Business Administration with concentrations in acting, theatre history, accounting, and law.
Tori Munro (Acrobat/Nurse/Henchman) is so excited to be a part of this production of Matilda! She is a Milford Central School alum who is spending her time exploring her passions of coffee, theatre, and traveling! Her previous acting credits with Orpheus Theatre include being in the ensembles of Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar and recently starring in Mamma Mia as Sophie Sheridan. In Cooperstown, she worked with the Glimmerglass Festival for three seasons partaking in The Music Man (Gracie Shinn), The Little March Girl Passions (The Little March Girl/Youth Chorus), and The Odyssey (Circe). In high school, she participated in The Wizard of Oz (ensemble), Sophisticated Ladies (Soloist), The Sound of Music (Leisl), Seussical the Musical (The Cat and the Hat), and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Belle). She would like to thank her friends and family, near and far, as well as this audience for the constant support!
Julianna Abbruzzese (Amanda) is an eighth-grade student at Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School. She enjoys singing, listening to music, books, cheerleading, and of course performing in theater. Julianna's stage debut was two years ago in the school play, A Christmas Carol. Since then, she has performed the roles of Gretel in The Sound of Music, Molly in Annie, Cinderella in Fairytale Come Dancing, Maureen in the musical Honk, and had parts in the plays Harvey and Who Invited Them. The past few years she also participated in All-County and NYSSMA, receiving a score of perfect each year. Julianna would like to thank her family and friends for all of their helpful and loving support. Creighton Williams (Eric) is in the sixth grade at Cooperstown Central School. Though new to musical theater, he’s very excited about the opportunity to join the Bold Theatrics Family for their production of Matilda The Musical. Previously Creighton has participated in the Glimmerglass Youth Choir (The Little Prince) and has been selected for All County Chorus (Otsego County) for the past two years. During his free time Creighton enjoys many extra-curricular activities. He is a member of the Cooperstown Soccer club u12 travel team, swims for the Clark Sports Center Sharks swim team, is a member of the Otsego Composite NICA cycling team, and loves to row with Otsego Area Rowing. Creighton would like to thank his family as well as his “village” who shared carpooling duties to get him to Matilda practices. He hopes you enjoy the show!!
Wyndam Withington (Nigel) is excited to be performing in Matilda the Musical, his second show with Bold Theatrics! His acting credits include many productions by Starstruck Players, such as Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit (Detective H.D.), Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr (Cogsworth), Disney's The Lion King Jr (Banzai), and James and the Giant Peach (Grasshopper). He was also active in his camp theater program this past summer, including a stint as a Narrator for A Boy Named Charlie Brown. He is a 6th grader at Oneonta Middle School and plays tuba in the school band.
Charlotte Campbell (Alice) is very excited to be making her stage debut in Matilda The Musical. Charlotte is in 6th grade, and outside of school, she loves to sing, play sports, ride horseback, and volunteer at the local animal shelter whenever she can. She is grateful to her friends, family, and fellow cast members for their help and support.
Lucy Hayes (Tommy) is so excited to be performing in her first-ever musical outside of school and especially with Bold Theatrics! Credits include Disney's Aladdin Jr. (Kassim) and eight years singing with the zany Fly Creek Philharmonic. “I am happy to have the chance to work with such great people who welcome newcomers like me. I really appreciate my parents and the parents of other kids for bringing me to rehearsals. I am excited for everyone to see the show with how much time, work, and effort we put into it.”
Arianna Mosenson (Hortensia) is an eighth grade student at Cherry Valley-Springfield School and is active in their drama club. She has appeared as Mildred in Who Invited Them, Downey and Bewick in Honk! The Musical, Tessie in Annie, a Postulant in The Sound Of Music, Beauty in A Christmas Carol, a Mental Patient in Harvey, a Wolf and a Guard in Aladdin, ensemble in Beauty and the Beast, and a Ladybug in The Lion King. She is thrilled to appear in Matilda The Musical as Hortensia and looks forward to a future acting career.
